Keplr Wallet overview #
Keplr wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet product with different features such as storage, management, and IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol), … on many ecosystems in the Cosmos universe.
Currently, the Keplr wallet is a decentralized product (non-custodial) compatible with desktop and mobile versions. So, Keplr wallet has attracted a large number of users.
Today OriginStake will guide you through the steps to download, create and secure a Keplr wallet.
Create and Download the Keplr wallet on Google Chrome Extension #
Step 1: Download Keplr Wallet on Google Chrome Extension #
First, go to the official home page of Keplr wallet: here
Choose “Install Keplr“.
You can choose the compatible browser to install. Here we choose Chrome.
Select “Add to Chrome” and “Add Extension“.
Step 2: Create the Keplr account #
Create a wallet by selecting “Create new account“.
Create an account name and password, copy the Mnemonic Seed to prevent losing your wallet, then select “Next“.
Then select the keywords in the Mnemonic Seed and continue to click “Register“.

Step 3: Secure Keplr wallet #
If you accidentally forgot your 12-character security code, you can also see it by clicking on the head person icon in the top right corner of the wallet.
The “Select Account” page appears, then select the three dots icon and a small popup will show up. Choose View Mnemonic Seed. After entering the password, you can see the security characters.
